I've been blessed to be able to play some of the best vintage stringed instruments and have long had an interest in the history of the great American manufacturers of these instruments. I've had an equal fascination with the vintage cases that were part of the package. While many books have been written about the major manufacturers of collectable instruments, case manufacturers have been neglected. This is an effort to present the history of some of the world’s most legendary manufacturers of musical instrument cases.
